RBN

On December 2nd, RBN was deleted by VRChat for hosting a lobby named WARNING: ERP AND SEX HERE. This was created by a random member of the group, and the world didn't even have a bed in it, so the owner and staff thought it was silly and didn’t close the instance. That instance was reported to VRChat and the group was moderated the same way any other group would be if they hosted a lobby with that name. The user that typed the lobby name was not banned; the group owner was, and the group itself was deleted.

After discussion with other group owners and VRC T&S, we’ve decided that the only way to protect ourselves and our members is to limit the ability to add a custom name to a lobby. The alternative was to remove the ability for group members to host their own instances - something we’re not willing to do for obvious reasons.

Going forward, nothing else needs to change. We’re still the same group, we’re still the same community, and we still have the same principles we started with in September 2023. We’re classic VRChat, and we’re still playing by their rules — we just have to be better about it in the future when they introduce new systems like custom lobby names.

We’re committed to continuing. The group itself has no staff drama and we make no excuses. VRChat is currently purging hundreds of groups a day, and we’re one of the few that was given a reason and a second chance.
